Just a few pics of Henry hanging out on the floor next to me while I'm blogging...

Thanksgiving, 2009

Thanksgiving down in Brunswick, GA at MeMe and Poppa's. This year it was just our family and Andrew's brother Jason and his family. A smaller group than usual, but fun nonetheless. Here is storytime with MeMe before bed.

Lily loves all her cousins, but had an especially fun time with Isobel this year. She was her little shadow and was always wanting her to come and play with her. Isobel was a good sport, because I know she tired of playing with a 2 year old sometimes.

After dinner, I caught Andrew and Henry taking a snooze.

Henry, chatting with Poppa.

Lily loves playing with play food and the kitchen stuff. MeMe has a neat cash register, and she played with this all weekend.

MeMe and 4 of the 5 grandkids there this year: Ethan, Isobel, Emery and Lily

Andrew, Henry and I
Chrissy and I, trying to get Melynda to let us help do something!!
Lily kept trying to get Isobel to play "sleep" with her....this is Lily's new bed at MeMe's house!
Andrew, Henry and I went down to Gainesville, FL for a quick visit with our friends Danny and Danielle. (Andrew and Danny were in the Navy together) Their sweet baby, Gavin, is only 3 weeks old and feels light as a feather compared to my big boy. We had a great visit and I'm so glad we got to see them! Danny is being deployed to Kuwait in January for a year. :(

A few lately

15 weeks: Henry's finally mastered sitting in the "crack" of the sofa!

Big, bigger, and biggest! :) My three favorite people.
Now THAT is one big CHEESE!!!
We LOVE our new double stroller. Obviously, the kids like it too! Went on a walk one morning and this is how it ended up. Not bad. I'll definitely be doing this more often.

Lily updates

Can you say Diva? Look at this pose. I love it! As I said in my previous blog, she is sitting in Henry's carseat, right next to him in his rocking chair, looking all prissy. We got these boots for her a couple of weeks ago, and I think she would sleep in them if I would let her. She LOVES them!

It's starting to get cold at night, finally....so one morning Lily and I bundled up while Henry was napping and played on the porch. She has finally figured out mittens! Once we got her thumb in the right place and she realized she could still pick things up...she loved wearing them. Notice the boots again! :)

This is Lily's new favorite lunch spot. I think eating together as a family at the table is very important, but I figure there's no harm in the two of us eating lunch together at her little table when Andrew is off at work.

Lily and I have been picking out activities from my "Everything Toddler Activities" book each day and this was one we really enjoyed. (Please don't judge my artistic inability) Anyway, I had her lay on the paper and I outlined her. We both colored her clothes and I added all her current favorite things: her white kitty, her monkey, blanket and passy. It was really fun!

We have finally conquered the 5am wake up call! Lily had been waking up at 5 ever since daylight savings and everyone was exhausted! After locking her back in her room on two mornings, and then having her crawl in to bed with me the third morning because Andrew had alreayd left for work and I just could NOT get up...and also with the threat of: sleep or go back in your room! she is back to waking up between 6-7am. Yay!!!!!

I also have to say, she has been "trying" to say more words lately...I'm very excited. She used to just say No when we would ask her to try to say something...but now she'll actually try some of the time!

Henry 14 weeks

Lets see...what's new in Henry's world these days? He has been liking to snuggle with burp cloths, or more affectionately known as "raggies". Reminds me of Tam's kids...I always thought it was kind of funny her kids would snuggle with burp cloths...but it really works! He sometimes tries to eat them, and they often end up over his face, but they seem to help calm him down too.

We tried sitting him up on the couch...didn't go so well. Don't think he's ready just yet. But Lily wanted to get in on the action too, of course!

Sweet boy still has blue eyes. I sure hope they stick!!

Lily wanted to sit by Henry, so she brought over his carseat, set it up right next to him and crawled in.

Henry has been sleeping between 5-6 hours at night, which is wonderful for me. He's done this on his own, which is great too. He loves sucking on his hands/fingers and has started drooling quite a bit. I really need to carry a burp cloth wherever I go now, or I have a soggy shoulder or drip spots all over the floor!

The Rock Ranch

Saturday we went to the Rock Ranch with the Clarkes and Mom and had a BLAST! Our family was all a little sick with sore throats and runny noses, but we couldn't miss this fun day! The weather was much better this year, almost a little too warm for my liking in November, but it sure beats the rain! Lily wasn't really in to the bouncy pillow this year...this is as good as it got.

Lily was very happy when the Clarkes and Grandma finally arrived. Here is Travis, driving the three kids around on the bike tractor thingy. You can't really tell in this picture, but all four mouths are wide open, including Travis'! He definitely made the ride exciting! Thankfully, there were seatbelts or I KNOW we would have lost a few kids. :)

Britt and Mika (sorry...not sure what face you are pulling... )

This one makes me proud...my little girl on a horsey! :)

This is where Henry spent most of the day...

Lily and Andrew going down the slides. They were these huge tunnels that went through a hill. Very cool. I think this might have been the only time they went down together. She went down solo the rest of the time. This might have been her favorite this year...

The cow train! They were pulled around the field by a tractor. We weren't sure Lily would stay in...so mom tried to ride with her. But they made her get out. She walked beside them, just in case Lily tried to jump ship.

Lunch time!

The corn house. This was another one of Lily's favorites. It was like a huge sandbox, but with huge corn kernels. It might have been Andrew's favorite too! He said he wants a bed made out of it! :)

What a great day! This place is awesome, and will definitely be on our fall "must-do" list for a long time.

Henry 3 months!

Henry is 3 months old today and such a smiley, happy guy! I love this picture of him. He really likes being in this seat when I prop him up high so he can look around. This is where I get the most smiles and cooing. I can even get a giggle if I tickle him right around his neck.

He loves the fist! If the passy comes out, the hands go in.

He's still eating every 4 hours, day and night. We had a set back after I came back from my trip to Denver, but I think we are almost ready to try "crying it out" again. I know he can go longer at night, it's just a matter of listening to him cry which is never any fun.
