Ashlynn Clarke

My sister, Brittany had her 4th baby, Ashlynn Grace Clarke, on May 21st. We are all in love with her...but I have to say, Lily might be in love the most....

She wants to hold her every second she can!! She is really in to playing "mommy" right now, with her babies, diaper bags, strollers, car seats. She brings a baby almost everywhere. She talks so sweetly, saying things like: "It's okay sweetie, mommies here". It's adorable.

These pictures are from when we were up at mom and dad's while the Perdue's were in town.

Lily even fights Grandpa for her!

Luckily, I was able to sneek in a few snuggles too while she was off playing with her cousins...

Such a sweet girl. Welcome to the world, Miss Ashlynn!

Labor Day at Sea Island

Every other year, Andrew's works at a doctor's meeting that is held at Sea Island, GA and I get to come along! This is an exculsive, members only island that has an amazing hotel (The Cloister), an amazing, uncrowded beach and several pools. We dropped our kids off at MeMe and Poppa's, who are in Brunswick - a short drive away. Andrew works at the meeting in the morning, and we have the afternoons and evenings to ourselves. Can I just say: Dreamy!?! We went out to dinner with Jason and Chrissy (Andrew's brother) and our friends Zac and Autumn another. It is such a great, relaxing time. We really enjoy it.

Sunday afternoon, we brought the kids over to play at the beach and swim in their great kid pool. We had so much fun! The kids both LOVED jumping in the waves! I even had to get out there with them because Andrew couldn't hold them both!!

What a fun weekend!

I remember the first time Andrew worked at this meeting, we were newly married. The other rep there told us that this would become our only vacation. I was so ticked. No way was this going to be our only vacation. Are you kidding me!? Now, I cannot wait for this trip. It might not be our ONLY vacation, but I'll take a weekend at Sea Island any day!!

Imagination Movers!!

Lily has watched the Imagination Movers since she was probably 2 years old. Other shows come and go, but the Movers continue to be a favorite. When we found out they were coming to Atlanta, a couple of weeks before her birthday...it was a "no brainer".

Before the show...having a quick snack.

One very excited girl! We had the tickets for months, but told her the day before....she jumped up and down saying "Yay!" over and over.

Hey Movers!

We took Henry with us...originally because my mom is down in Peachtree City with Brittany and her family (she had her baby today!) But, I am so glad we brought him! He had a blast! He was holding on to the chair in front of him, jumping and dancing and yelling the entire time. It was adorable and hilarious...I expected that from Lily, but it was cute to see him get in to it too!

We were on the Mezzanine level. At one point in the show, the guys split up and went out in the audience to say hi to kids. Rich came up to our level and shook Lily's hand! She was super excited. I must admit, I was too!!!

We love the Movers!!

After the Movers, Lily wanted pancakes for her "special dinner" so we went to IHOP. Andrew and I discussed of all the other terrific restaurants we would love to go to in Atlanta...we never thought we'd end up at an IHOP. Boy how things change when you have kids! We had a great time though. It's fun to watch your kids get so excited about something.

Go Fish!

We had a playdate with our friends Charlotte and Dulcie at the Go Fish Education Center in Perry , GA

Lots of neat fish to look at!

You can catch a pretend fish with the fishing pole and drive a boat...

These fish must be sleeping...

Olympic Triathlon

Andrew and his friend Dave Elsworth competed in an Olympic Distance Triathlon this weekend. 1.2 mile swim, 26 mile bike and a 10K run. The race was in Peachtree City, and started at 7am, which left it impossible for my friend Emily and I to get there before start time with 4 kids. So we got there to see the transition from bike to run...Here's Andrew coming in after the bike...

Finishing the 10K.

The guys' cheering section! Me, Emily, Lily, Jack, Henry and Nora

This race was right by Britt's house, so their family and Mom were also there to cheer them on!

After the race! 3 hrs, 3 minutes! Way to go guys!

It's also worth mentioning that our entire family, except Andrew had the flu all the previous week, and I'm pretty sure Andrew started coming down with it during the race. He said he felt awful during the run, and I know it wasn't because he wasn't prepared. He hardly ate all that day following the race, and on in to the next week. So way to go, babe! You finished with the flu too! :)

Mother's Day

Ahh, Mother's Day. I am beginning to enjoy this day more and more every year!! With all my meals made for me, my husband taking care of the kids, cleaning up, changing all diapers...it was a terrific day!

I sure love these kiddos! This is what it's all about.

After lunch we headed up to Atlanta to have an early dinner with my parents and spend a little time with my mom.

Oh, and here's my yummy breakfast: a cheese and bacon omelet. It was delicious! Thanks for a fabulous day, babe!!
