Almost Christmas!!

Bedtime stories

Lily sitting on the floor with a basket full of toys (the pillow is a precautionary measure by a paranoid mom...)

Lily loves the camera...maybe because it's in her face all the time! :)

All those toys and still not happy?!?!?!

Lily's 3rd hockey game this year! We are better prepared each game (she was warm enough and we had the pacifier and a bottle this time!). Next time we'll remember to bring the PJ's and put them on in the car before we drive home!! Parenting is definitely a learning process...

Andrew got to wear his early Christmas present: His Thrashers hockey jersey (thanks to Mom, Dad, and me!). We had a great time and we even won!! :)

Lily loves the blow up hockey sticks they gave out game night!

Lily's photo shoot

Lily and I went to Brittany's house the other day and got the pleasure of having a Christmas photo shoot. Lily was giggling at Kaylin and sitting up all by herself; we caught her in the perfect mood! Just wanted to share a few of the fantastic pictures Britt took of miss Lily...it was hard to pick only a few!

Lily update

Lily's 6 month check-up report:
15.8 lbs (50th percentile) and 26 3/4 inches (90th percentile). Long and lean, baby!
She continues to change and surprise us daily. It's amazing how much we love this little girl.
Just wanted to add a couple new photos from the last week. Here's Lily all dressed up for my work Christmas party!

Fuzzy head ready for bed!

Lily 6 months old!

Lily is 6 months old now! WOW!
She's getting pretty good at sitting up, and actually prefers to sit when playing on the floor. She still needs a little bit of support, but it won't be much longer. She can grab on to her toys, and likes to shake them, usually knocking herself on the head! Here are a few sitting up pics...

We went up to Grandma and Grandpa's again this weekend while Andrew was out of town. We had a great time; we made a couple taggie blankets, mom tied some Christmas bows for me, we went Christmas shopping, went on walks (in the 70 degree weather!!!! What?), and Lily got a bow too! :) Lily is "talking" a lot more now...Mom calls it singing. She's becoming quite a chatterbox.

Lily loves to suck on apples and celery. Yum!

The other day we were playing on the floor and she rolled right up under the Christmas tree.
She did manage to pull the little angel ornament off...but nothing breakable is too low anymore.

Lily 5 3/4 months

Lily is changing so much! I had to put in a slide show because there were so many pictures I wanted to share. Our friends Gray and Jason were in town for Thanksgiving, so we got to spend some time with them. That was a lot of fun! We sure wish they lived closer.
Let's see; what's new with Lily? We have discovered that Lily likes to put blankets over her face. Go figure. It's the funniest thing. She'll kick her legs and get all excited when she finally gets it over her face. Maybe the beginnings of peek-a-boo? She can also get her passy in her mouth by herself now. She's discovered she can "squeal". I've started the weaning process and we are doing one feeding a day with a bottle and she's actually doing pretty well. Hooray! She's getting better at sitting up and still only rolls one way. She still loves taking walks, which is great for me too!
Things are going great, and she's keeping me busy. We are looking forward to her first Christmas!! Let's hope she doesn't topple the tree over!

Lily had a great time with her cousins, aunts and uncles, and MeMe and Pappa over Thanksgiving. She's not as stranger shy anymore, and loves to smile at everyone.

Lily 5 1/2 months

Hello Lily! Lily is 5 1/2 months now and growing so fast.

Happy Lily on a Sunday afternoon walk.

Lily loves to snuggle on the floor (yes, that's me with straight hair...).

Lily is getting much more interested in her toys, especially the ones she can chew on. Everything goes in the mouth! She enjoys tummy time now, and can easily roll back and forth from her tummy to back and back up again. She still enjoys walks and being outside. She likes to "talk"...well, make loud noises. It's funny to hear her experiment with her little voice. She's getting close to sitting up by herself, and if she's distracted with a toy, she can do it!

She loves to eat!! She's mastered rice cereal and oatmeal, and has tried sweet potatoes, carrots, applesauce and bananas.

YUM!

It seems like Lily always has her feet up in the air...she's grabbing on to them or eating them...she loves those long toes, I guess!

I want to lick your glass!

This is Lily's new obsession: glass licking. Whenever we have a water glass near by she reaches out for it. She hangs on to it, pretty tightly I might add, and licks it.

Sometimes she gets a little taste...mmm.

Check out that tongue!!

Lily's 5 Months!

Miss Lily, 5 months old already!

Lily and I went to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Atlanta while Andrew was out of town this week. She drank from a sippy cup and discovered ice cubes! Isn't Grandma's fun!? She also loves to lick drinking glasses when there's condensation on the outside. I'll have to try to get a picture of it, it's hilarious!

Chillin' on the couch like a big girl!

Full of smiles and giggles today! I think she's finally ticklish! She'll giggle when we tickle her in her neck or under her arms. She also likes to "cough"...this little fake pay-attention-to-me cough. It's funny.

About to fall over...but hanging in there.

We are working on sitting up...although she usually topples over or bends in half. But this time she did it...for a few seconds! We spend a lot of time on the floor these days; playing, sleeping, whatever. She likes to cuddle up to me while we both lay on the floor on our sides. It's so cute. I always hoped I'd have a cuddler.

Passed out after a long day!

Here's a video of her rolling. She rolls all over the place now. She mostly goes to the right, but is working on getting over on her left.

Happy Halloween!

Lily the bumblebee

We went over the the Clarkes for halloween. We had dinner and made carmel popcorn! YUM! This is everyone on our way to Trick-or-Treat. Lily the bumblebee (with Andrew, her transportation), Ethan the Pirate, Brittany the cat, and Kaylin the purple fairy! We took Lily to a few houses, but she wasn't too impressed yet. :)

One grumpy bee!

One happy bee!

One very tired bee-no-more!

Andrew layed her on the floor after we got home and she sacked out within seconds!!

Lily Week 20; Fall has arrived...finally!

It is starting to get a little cooler in GA. Lily and I have been going on walks every day, and today we had to bundle up! She LOVES being out in the stroller. What a cutie!

We went to Macon's little national park and walked around on the trails and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Perfect "t-shirt and jeans" weather. It's great!
