Washington Park

I've talked about this park before...it's a neat park a couple blocks away from our house that has running water during the summer. No playground; but water can be just as much fun, if not more!! We headed down there one very hot afternoon. We come prepared now with a change of clothes because it's impossible to keep them dry.
If I don't keep Henry's passy in...he will EAT everything! He had a great time finding leaves and sticks in the water.

Lily, trying to get me to follow her...

A lady at the park gave me a great suggestion a while ago to bring a boat. The water runs down several different paths to a pool at the bottom. Lily had a blast helping her boat float down the river!!

Henry and I watching from the shade!

Andrew thought he was Moses!!

What a fun way to spend an afternoon!

Waiting....

I have a picture of Lily doing this when she was Henry's age...now she has a partner; both waiting for dad to come home!

Last day of 2K school!

Lily went to preschool 2 days a week this year at Vineville Baptist Day School. She LOVED it!! Here are a couple of her besties: Julia and Eliza.

She had two teachers; this is Mrs. Terry. You can tell how much she adores her!! They actually adore eachother! Mrs. Terry would tell me all the time how much she loved Lily.

And Mrs. Hall. Lily likes to play "school" and she is always Mrs. Hall.

She really enjoyed school. She learned a bunch of songs, can write her name (needs a little help with the Y), and did all sorts of art projects. We are looking forward to next year!

Pulling Up...and Stuff

Lily likes to play with my moses basket, putting her babies in it or often herself...the other day Henry climbed in and she pulled him all around the house in it. It was pretty funny. He thought it was hilarious and giggled the whole time.

I was in the kitchen and it was pretty quiet in the family room...which is never a good sign. So I went to see what the kids had gotten in to...and found Henry up under our end table playing quietly with a puzzle. He was happy as a bug! I knew I had a picture of Lily under the same end table and just looked it up. It was around this same age, but I had put her there...Henry crawled up there himself!! Stinker!

So yea...he's pulling up now. He can pull up on the ottoman, this toy basket, his toy piano, and tries to pull up on me. He's also quite a speedy crawler now too! If he's going after something he is QUICK! He also gets very mad if you won't let him have a toy he wants; especially remotes and cell phones. If I'm holding him, he'll rock back and forth real hard almost knocking me off balance!

Goofing Around

Lily and I were goofing around taking pictures of ourselves...

Daddy wanted in on the fun too!

She took this one of herself!

PS...

I got KING CRAB LEGS for dinner!
Can you say "DEE-LISH-US"???

Mother's Day

Mother's Days just keep getting better and better. Not only does my wonderful husband get better at it, but Lily was excited about the day too and is able to do nice things for me! It has truly been a perfect day!

I feel so blessed today to be a mom!

Baby Wendy is in town!

Meagan and Wendy are in Georgia while Chris is out of town. We are so happy they are here!! We all met up at Mom and Dad's Sunday afternoon for dinner. Britt coordinated the 4 girls to have matching dresses....so cute!!!

Ethan snuck in on this one...What cute kiddos! I wish I would have grabbed Henry so all 6 of them could be in the same picture; he was inside with Andrew. Oh well. Hopefully we'll have more photo ops while she's in town.

At the park!

So most of you know we frequent parks quite often in our family....our new favorite is one we can walk to; it's about a mile walk each way so it's great exercise for the parents too! (plus, our favorite pizza place is right around the corner, so dinner usually follows playtime. Sweet!)
Lily has graduated to the big swings and loves "under-dogs"!

The other night we were at the park and there was bike racing going on. Since Andrew has recently purchased a new bike, it was fun for him to check out all the cool bikes and watch the guys race. Maybe he'll be out there next year! ;)

Lily like watching them too...and would clap when they rode by...

She took this picture of them.

Henry; enjoying a day at the park as always. He looks so big in this picture! Love his rosy cheeks!

9 months and up to no good!

Henry is ALL over the place now...and definitely up to no good!! He is getting pretty quick now, too! You forget how hard it is having a mobile baby...you can't leave them alone for a second! Why is it all kids love electrical cords, dirty shoes and bathrooms? He's in to everything, and with a big sister; that simply spells
T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!

But how can you get mad at a smile like that?

We always thought Lily was a big "animal lover" and we would end up getting a pet for her someday...but I think Henry might be worse! He is so fascinated by dogs and cats...he seriously squeals in delight whenever one comes near him. Andrew said the other day: He might be the one that begs us for a dog!

I made up a set of "fake" keys since he's obsessed with keys...so he can suck on them all he wants.

9 month stats: 22 1/2 lbs, 27 inches long. (Lily was also 27 inches long at 9 months, but only 17 lbs!)
