More walking!

Just a short clip of Henry walking...he's getting really good now! Doesn't like to move around any other way. Still falls down a lot, but just gets back up and keeps going. Now entering the "goose egg" phase! :(

Atlanta Children's Museum

We went up to the Atlanta Children's Museum today with my good friend Wendy and her kids, Gates and Avery. (Avery is only 9 weeks old, so she enjoyed the museum asleep in her carseat). Unfortunately, it was "free tuesday"...I say unfortunately because it was PACKED!! That caused quite a bit of stress for me watching my two kids who were interested in very different things. Henry wanted to stay put in once place most of the time and Lily wanted to dash around everywhere! Phew! But, we survived and the kids had a blast! It was a good day. And Wendy and I got to talk - mostly uninterrupted - on the car ride up to Atlanta! That doesn't happen very often!!
Lily and Gates on the tractor.

Henry, climbing up for a ride, too!

The painting wall! This was really cool...Lily would have stayed here a while if there wasn't such a long line of people waiting!!

Finishing her masterpiece!

Gates, working in the kitchen.

Lily, making "soup"...her new favorite meal to cook us.

Henry, in the toddler area...playing peek-a-boo in the tree

Lily and Gates fishing.

Moon sand (another popular station for Lily)

Hey Mom, can I throw this?

Henry turns 1!!

My sweet boy turned 1 yesterday! Wow, this year has flown by and taken forever all at the same time! Henry is such a funny, playful, mischevious little guy...and we all adore him. He's very close to walking, loves to push anything he can get his hands on (chairs, toys, Andrew's cooler...whatever). He also loves to climb, bang, throw, hit...He is ALL BOY!!! He has 4 teeth and two more about to break through. He is 24 1/2 lbs and 31 inches long. (Which is 70th percentile for weight, 95th percentile for height!) His feet are so chubby I can't get anything on his them except crocs!!

We went up to my parents house this past Saturday to have a small, family party for him.

He wasn't quite sure about the cupcake. Smashed it several times and tried to get everybody with his icing hands...had lots of helpers too.

After Henry ate his cupcake, the older kids got to decorate a couple for themselves.

Opening presents it always a bit slow with a 1 year old...but greatly sped up with the help of a sister and cousins! Henry loves to bang or hit anything...so we got him some tools. Not sure if that was a good idea or not; I've already taken a couple whacks in the head with the hammer!!

Puzzles...

And a monster truck from the Clarkes! He already loves anything with wheels and "vrooms" it all over the floor...

Me, Britt and the birthday boy.

Me and my happy, little man!

My friend Gray sent him this awesome walking toy...he loved it! Walked back and forth down the hall until we all got tired of turning him back around! If only he could steer!

Later on, we had a mini-talent show....Lily never passes up the chance to perform!

Kaylin got in on the action too!

What a fun day! So happy to celebrate Henry's birthday with some of my favorite people!

At this point, if I wanted to lay out, I could not wear a bathingsuit!!

So yea. That is a bruise. The other day, I was at lunch with my friend and was standing up collecting my things and a little kid flipped his chair back behind me. It was a big, heavy wood chair too. It hit me straight in the calf and then slid all the way down. I seriously could hardly walk away after it happened, it hurt so bad. And this was the result. Beauty eh? My friend said it looks like a police badge! :) Ha ha. I say it's disgusting and hurt like a mother!!!!!

A drooling problem?

Anyone think we've got a drooling problem here? Yes, that is drool!! It's a constant stream of drool out of this boy's mouth. Showed up real well on this shirt...had to document it.
