Halloween in Brunswick, GA

Lily had an "evolving" halloween costume this year. She started as a "dead cat", but the ears just didn't stay on, so she became just a "skeleton". She was a big hit though, besides being called a boy all night long...Oh well. She LOVED trick-or-treating! After watching the other kids, she started carrying her own pumpkin bucket and walking...well, running right up to the houses and holding it out for candy! She had no idea what she was getting, but she had a blast!!

Here is Lily with her Brunswick cousins: Isobel, baby Emery and Ethan

Trick-or-treating

She would not let go of that pumpkin!

Pumpkin carving

Well, we finally got our pumpkins carved (well, two out of three, actually). Here are a few pics of the event.

Lily was not too sure about the pumpkin. She wouldn't put her hand in it, and would NOT touch the guts! Maybe next year. She did like playing peek-a-boo with it, and feeding it food too!

So I lost my motivation to do my pumpkin after carving hers and picking out the all seeds to cook. So mine is still sitting on the kitchen table, uncarved. But, here are Lily and Andrew with their pumpkins.

We don't use "templates" so this is as good as our imagination gets us!!

Pumpkins!

Well, we ended up picking out our pumpkins at a grocery store...I know...we are lame. But Lily didn't know the difference. :) She loves pumpkins and can spot them everywhere. Anyway, here are a few pictures of Lily with the pumpkins.

I want THIS one!

Sittin' on the pumpkins on the front porch.

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon...a little cool, bright blue sky...I love this time of year!

The Rock Ranch

If you have read mom's or Britt's blogs, you have heard all about this great place we found last weekend: The Rock Ranch. Awesome family place, with fun things for our little kids to do. Even though the weather stunk and it ended up raining by the end of the day, we had a GREAT time!!

Lily and Andrew on the big jumping pillow (sorry, your head is cut off, babe)

Loving the carousel! She has learned the word "No", unfortunately, and told us quite adamently that she did NOT want to get off!!! Needless to say, we rode this several times...

What cute girls!!! They had great "photo op" set ups around the farm, and we couldn't resist.

Riding the little train

As mom and Britt said, Ethan was a terrific driver on this thing. I was worried Lily was going to fall out the side, but she held on the whole time and really enjoyed the ride. One cool thing about this place, was that it wasn't so crowded that there were a ton of lines. They could ride almost everything until they wanted to get off. It was great!

Lily even rode the pony!

Andrew's favorite part...the Pumpkin Cannon. They made this cannon from old parts they had on the farm and would shoot pumpkins out in to the cow pasture. Didn't do much for me...Must be a guy thing....

Another photo op we couldn't resist: My cute little family at the Rock Ranch. Fun, fun day!!

Afternoon stroll

Lily and I were out on our daily walk around the neighborhood and I remembered to bring my camera this time. We have such a neat neighborhood with the old homes and brick roads, I knew I could get some fun pictures. Anyway, here's just a few of her exploring around today...

Can I go this way?

big cheesy smile

She's learning to navigate up steps by holding a handrail...or the wall...

Surveying the land...

She's running now...and can go pretty fast!

Monkey Joes

Lily and I are up in Atlanta this weekend staying at my parents while Andrew is out of town for training. Britt, Kaylin and Aidrian came up Saturday to play with us and we went to Monkey Joes to play. Lily loved to drive the play firetruck there, and let Kaylin ride with her too.

Jumping in the bounce house. Look at that air Kaylin's getting! Woo hoo!

Going down the slide with Grandma! Fun fun!
