Halloween night!

We stayed in town this year for Halloween and had a great time! Here's miss Lily in her Ballerina costume before our friends came over.

This is the extent of Henry's costume....

I knew this is how he would end up so I figured there wasn't much point in getting him dressed up this year...it was cold and rainy and Andrew spent much of the time with him under an umbrella.

Our friends, the Gigliotti's (Gates' family), came over for soup and carmel popcorn before trick-or-treating. Gates and Lily had a great time playing before we headed out. Gates dressed up as an astronaut.

We met up with the Fischer's too, who also live in our neighborhood. We had Lily the Ballerina, Gates the Astronaut, Eliza was Nemo and Grant was a scarecrow. (Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of all of them together...but you can see Nemo and the Scarecrow in this picture too. Everyone was adorable. This is Lily knocking on the door.

I was so proud of Lily. She tried really hard to say "trick-or-treat"...it sounded more like "chee chee chee", but she atleast tried and said it at every house!! She carried her little bucket and was a real trooper! We had a great time in spite of the rain!

Pumpkins!

We carved our pumpkins the night before Halloween...better late than never, I guess. Lily had a blast helping us! The "Pumpkin Fairy" sent her a package with a little pumpkin in it, and she'd been carrying it around all week, calling it her baby, even wanting to sleep with it!! We weren't sure she would want to carve it...but she was very excited about it, picked out the design to use and helped out when she could. Here's Andrew creating his secret masterpiece!

When we brought all the pumpkins outside, she wanted to sit by them. She was a little sad that her pumpkin couldn't come inside anymore once it was carved, but we got through it.

Here they are at night with their lights on! :) I've never used a pumpkin carving kit before; and I really liked it! The kits came with little eyes you could put in them and everything. It was great! Henry's pumpkin is on the left, then a little baby one that Lily could NOT live without..., then Lily's (she wanted a SCARY one!), then mine and Andrew's.

Henry 12 weeks

Henry is 12 weeks already! I can't believe it! Here's Henry and I in his spiffy new shirt Andrew picked out! :)

New this week: He has found his hands! Yum!

And he's getting better at tummy time. He doesn't scream at me the whole time anymore...

Lily's "big girl" bed!

So while Lily was down at MeMe and Poppa's this past weekend she slept in a toddler bed and did really well. So we converted her crib for when she got home to keep it going...and she has been AWESOME!! I still can't believe how easy it has been; I knock on wood every night! She just hops up on her bed, same routine, a couple of books and that is it! The only time she has come out of her room is a couple of times the first day for naptime. I check on her when I am up feeding Henry in the middle of the night, and have found her asleep somewhere in the middle of her floor with her monkey every time! Not sure what that is about...but hey...she's staying in her room. I am very proud of her. What a big girl!

Henry: 11 weeks

Boy, this kid sure does look good in blue!! And yes, I have gotten him some blue blankets finally...the pink ones are used for diaper changes now. :)

Took this picture last night...Henry smiling up at daddy.

Denver 10/2009

My sweet husband bought me a ticket out to Denver to see Jen, Gray and Gray's new baby for the weekend -- NO KIDS!! I had a wonderful time. It was so great to meet Gray's little girl, see Jen pregnant and have a short break from my kiddos. We sent Lily to MeMe and Poppa's for the weekend and Andrew stayed home with Henry. I brought my breastpump and everything worked out great.
Here is Gray's sweet babe, Roan. I couldn't believe how tiny she was! She was so sweet; I don't think I heard her cry once.

Proud Mama and her babe

Me, Jen, Gray and Roan. Isn't she tiny?? She's 5 weeks old and probably weighs what my babies weigh at birth!!!

Jen's cute belly, 22 weeks preggo.

The TANK!!

Watch out folks! We grow 'em big down here in Georgia! Henry went for his 2 month appointment the other day and already weighs in at a whopping 14.2 lbs and is 24 inches long. He's still on the "charts"...but just barely. (A side note: Lily was only 11.8lbs at this age)
We've moved him down the hall to his own bed. Doing pretty good so far. Working on letting him fall asleep on his own; so far that's working much better at night than it is during the day. I'm listening to him yell right now as I type. MUST NOT GIVE IN!!!! I hate this part! But thankfully, Lily is napping through it...that's good atleast. :)

St. George Island, FL

Meagan and Chris were visiting GA on their rounds of seeing family, so Mom and Dad, the Perdues, Clarkes, and us were lucky enough to go to the beach for the weekend to spend some time all together. It was SO much fun!!!! It was very hard to narrow down all of my favorite pictures, but here are some of them.
1st day on the beach. Yes, it is October and warm enough to be in bathingsuits!

Obviously, Henry didn't mind being at the beach.

Lily, collecting shells in her bag from Grandma. There were lots of shells on this beach so it was fun for the kids to collect them.

Henry and I

Brittany, Meagan (24 weeks pregnant), Mom and Me. One of the few normal looking pictures. Someone is pulling a face in the rest of them!

I had lots of baby holders...it was wonderful! Here's a rare moment when Mom got to hold my babe.

Getting ready for movie night

Meagan was my best baby holder...even though she was pregnant with her own! She'd always snatch him up...I loved it! And yes, poor Henry has pink blankets. He likes to be swaddled, and these work the best. Until I find something better...he gets pink!

Travis made sand mermaids...can you see the tiny shells for her chest? All the adults got a kick out of it. Lily was just having a blast!

I love, love, LOVE this picture. Lily seriously loves her "bubby". And bubby's mommy, and bubby's daddy, and bubby's baby.... :) She was his little shadow, and thankfully, he didn't mind. He has always been so sweet with her. I hope they stay like this forever.

Getting splashed on by the dads.

Some advice: Vacation is not the time to have your two year old sleep out of her crib for the first time. I had to use some "super nanny" moves to get her to sleep in the little closet. Andrew tried the "I'll lay down with you" technique...and took a little nap too!

Thanks so much, Mom and Dad, for a terrific weekend at the beach. What a fabulous idea, and a wonderful time.

Two babes

I saw this picture in Britt's beach pictures and it reminded me of a picture I had of Lily....

I found it....
Are these two kids even related?!?!?!

Smiles!!!

We have definite smiles now...and sometimes I think he even giggles! He's cooing too. Here are a couple of pictures Britt took of Henry at the beach this past weekend (I'll post more beach pics later).

We took these tonight before he got in to his PJ's. What a cutie pie!
