4th of July, Part 3: The Fireworks!!

So, the last stop on our fun-filled day (after we all took a nap!) was the Fireworks at the Pier on St. Simons!! We started at Zac and Autumn's for dinner and then walked down to the pier. Boy, it was HOT!!! My little family was a sweaty mess (we are ALL sweaters, even Lily!!). But it was so much fun! I think this was the latest Lily has ever stayed up! She didn't fall asleep until the car ride home around 11pm! What a trooper! Unfortunately, she was up again by 6:30am the next morning...so we are currently working on nap #2 for the day. :)

So this is how we looked when the fireworks first started...sitting happily as a family, enjoying the show!

And this is how we ended up...NOT enjoying the show! She did not like the fireworks one bit, and buried her face in my neck the entire time, clinging on tight. She might have stolen a glance out of the corner of her eye every once in a while, but she was not very impressed! Maybe we'll have better luck next year.

Wow! What a great day! It was so fun to see our friends Zac and Autumn and spend time with Jason and Chrissy and their family!
