Just wanted to post a couple of pictures of Lily's buddies. This is Eliza, her little friend that lives in our neighborhood. She is such a sweet girl, and Lily really enjoys playing with her.

And this is Gates, her other best buddy. He is full of energy and is becoming all "boy". They have a special bond and always get so excited to see eachother. They are so cute together.

Jewelry, Babies and Toes!

This picture makes me laugh. I found this cute necklace and bracelet that someone gave her when she was a baby...and now they have become her new favorite accessories! She also wanted to wear the headband along with the ponytail. I swear, this girl always has something on her head, around her neck, on her wrist or feet! It cracks me up! (She was wearing my shoes too, of course, but that's not a shocker...)

She got a neat homemade doll from Andrew's Aunt Judy...she adores her! She's a very cute baby, and even has other outfits and a bassinett! The perfect gift for her right now! She looooves her babies, and I often find her with them all set out around her with bottles and blankets..she's going to be such a great big sister!

The "baby gear" is coming back out and Lily has to try out everything! She's trying to fit in to the carseat here, but also lays in the moses basket, sits in the bumbo, the bouncer and stroller. Hmm. I wonder how many times she'll try that when the baby is actually IN one of those things. Maybe she's just testing them out for him, making sure they meet her standards!? :)

I got a pedicure yesterday and the second I came home, Lily wanted her toes done too!

We are all getting pretty excited for this baby to come. Three more weeks to go!!!

35 weeks

What more can I say?? I'm getting huge...but hangin' in there.

4th of July, Part 3: The Fireworks!!

So, the last stop on our fun-filled day (after we all took a nap!) was the Fireworks at the Pier on St. Simons!! We started at Zac and Autumn's for dinner and then walked down to the pier. Boy, it was HOT!!! My little family was a sweaty mess (we are ALL sweaters, even Lily!!). But it was so much fun! I think this was the latest Lily has ever stayed up! She didn't fall asleep until the car ride home around 11pm! What a trooper! Unfortunately, she was up again by 6:30am the next morning...so we are currently working on nap #2 for the day. :)

So this is how we looked when the fireworks first started...sitting happily as a family, enjoying the show!

And this is how we ended up...NOT enjoying the show! She did not like the fireworks one bit, and buried her face in my neck the entire time, clinging on tight. She might have stolen a glance out of the corner of her eye every once in a while, but she was not very impressed! Maybe we'll have better luck next year.

Wow! What a great day! It was so fun to see our friends Zac and Autumn and spend time with Jason and Chrissy and their family!

4th of July, Part 2: Emery's birthday party

Next stop for the day was to Lily's cousin Emery's birthday party at Jason and Chrissy's house. They have a great pool so we swam some more, Lily jumped on their trampoline, had lunch and birthday cake. Poor Emery wasn't feeling well, so made an appearance for her cake, but that's about it.

Lily had a great time in their pool on this big raft. I don't think she got off it the entire time!

Lily and Ethan loved being pushed around and lifted up in the air on the raft by the guys! I think Andrew, Zac and Jason all got suckered in to doing it! But they sure had a blast!

Lily and Autumn; by now it was 2:00 and Lily had been up since 5:30...she was barely hanging on. But, she really had been terrific all day!

4th of July, Part 1: The beach

So we started our 4th of July bright and early (5:30 AM, thanks to Lily) down in Brunswick. I have become one of my sisters who I used to mock that went to the beach at 9am, but when you are up so early...why not? Our friends Zac and Autumn met us there, before the big crowds started coming and setting up shop for the day. We had a great time! Lily really enjoys playing in the sand and is great in the water this year so she went out in the ocean several times with Andrew and Zac. Thank goodness one of her parents will take her out there! :)

It was a beautiful day...hot already by 9am.

Lily loves laying in the water; she does this a lot at the pool we joined. It's fun to see how much more brave and confident she is getting in the water.
