Cherry Blossom Festival 2012

The Cherry Blossom Festival is a big "to do" in Macon!  There are tons of things to do all week long and we try to get to as many as we can!
Central City Park (within walking distance from our house) has all the carnival rides.  We went down there one afternoon after school.  They had an alligator show...which was cool.  Mostly informative about alligators in general, but we got splashed a couple times so the kids liked that part.  :)

We rode a few rides, of course.  Lily is always watching out for her little bro.

The carousel is a must!

And the bumblebees were fun too!

Cheese!  We're cherry blossoms!!

Another day we went downtown again for free trolly rides with Eliza and her mom, Katie.

And a free horse carriage ride.  Both were very short, but they kids loved it.

Sunday, the last day of the festival, we went to watch the fireworks as Wesleyan College.  I even let the kids stay up a little late to see them!  I know...shocker.  But they loved them and talked about them for days so I'm glad we did it.  What a fun, busy week!  We love Cherry Blossom!!
