6 months...in a few days

Henry will be 6 months in a few days...wow! That went by quick! He's sitting up now! Granted, he fell over as soon as I took this picture...but we are getting there!! He's eating rice cereal and tried squash for the first time today.

He usually rolls right over to his back whenever I stick him on his tummy...but sometimes he rolls up on to his tummy himself too.

No one can ever say this girl does not love this kid!

Plenty of loves...

Henry is getting a little more tolerant of her holding him, so she really likes it. But as soon as he squirms too much, she's done.

It's potty time!

Friends have been telling me for a while that Lily is ready to be potty trained...but I have been dreading it! Public restrooms....ew! I tried briefly before Henry was born, but she wasn't interested, so we dropped it. Well, we tried it again...and she is doing AWESOME!!! I got a little potty seat (on the floor) and she opened it up as soon as we got home, took it in to the bathroom, sat it on the floor, took off all her clothes, sat down and went pee! WHAT?!?! Ever since then, she's been doing awesome at home. She goes pee and "ooie" (that's what she calls it...) in the potty! Sometimes she even goes without us prompting! No treats either...we never started it and so she doesn't know any different. I think if I were to start a reward, she would sit in there all day, because I already have to pry her off the toilet sometimes as it is!!!

What a ROCKSTAR!!

Henry: 5 1/2 months

Henry is such a smiley babe! I swear he just beams whenever I get the camera out. Here's a good shot of Andrew's beard too...still "growing" strong! :)

Lily is such a great big sister. Here she is playing with Henry on the floor. He seriously lights up whenver she's around.

So after feeding Henry the other night, Lily climbed up in my lap too...so I had Andrew grab the camera. These are the three results...It sure is hard to get both kids looking cute at the same time! I don't know how you guys do it with lots more than 2!!

Goofing around

Just trying to get some pictures of both kids the other day...

It started with just Henry sitting up in the chair...but Lily always wants in on the action!

Although at the moment...Henry is much more photogenic than Lily. He always has a smile for the camera! I never know what I'm going to get with Lily. Thank goodness for digital cameras!

Bumbo

So Henry has hated the Bumbo until now...don't know what clicked, but he's diggin' it. Cool.

Yes, it is pink. That what he gets for having an older sister. Sorry, Henry. Get used to it. :)

The Beard!

Andrew's been growing a beard the last few weeks...and great timing with all the cold weather we've been having! I'm not sure how much longer it's going to last so I had to document it. I think it looks great!

Henry's first meal!

OK, well technically he's been eating for quite a while now, but we gave him his first taste of delicious rice cereal the other night. Yum Yum! I'm secretly hoping it will help him sleep through the night, but so far it hasn't made much difference. :(

Not too messy...yet. He did pretty well for his first try. I have a good feeling...he's gonna be a great eater!

I'd say that's one happy customer!

New Years in Brunswick

Down in Brunswick for New Years this year. First things first, though: The Hayes' present exchange.

The New Year rang in for the little ones at 8:30pm. We went outside with our noise makers and Uncle Jason set off some fun fireworks! Happy New Year!!!

We stayed at our friend's Zac and Autumn's house this trip. I'd say Henry was pretty comfortable.

Lily wanted to take our picture the other day, so I decided to let her give it a try. This is the best one of Henry and I....

After several test shots of Henry and I, she got the hang of it! The pictures of Andrew were all pretty good. She would find us on the screen and push the "big button". I wasn't helping her at all. Not bad, Lil!
