Brunswick Visit

We went to Brunswick this past weekend; Andrew dropped Lily and I off at Meme and Poppa's while he went down to Florida for a doctors meeting for a few days. Lily met her new cousin Emery for the first time (under very careful supervision...).

She had a great time playing with her cousins Isobel and Ethan, and gave lots of kisses too! We went to a water park and played in Meme's play porch. We had a great time!

Meme has a neat rocking horse which Lily loved to ride.

Meme also has a kitty named Carmen. Carmen did not particularly care for Lily's squeals of delight and would hide under this chair. Lily would try to coax her out with more squeals...needless to say it didn't work very well (lucky for Carmen).

The boys sitting on the couch observing the chaos; Jason, Andrew and Poppa (David).

I got in as much baby holding time as possible! Emery is three weeks old, and so cute and tiny! She slept happily in Aunt Angie's arms! :)

Pool Day!

The Clarkes and Grandma came down to Macon for a fun-filled day at the pool! I have a great pool that we go to this summer with a terrific "kiddie area" and a water slide. Lily usually prefers to walk around OUTSIDE of the pool, but it is still nice to be outside and cooler by the pool.

Ethan liked Lily's floatie; and I think he liked being outside of the water better too.

Britt, Ethan and Kaylin. Kaylin is a great swimmer and started diving for things at the bottom of the pool.

Grandma and Lily, having a snack.

Baby Emery!

My sister-in-law, Chrissy, had baby #3 on July 3rd: Emery Elizabeth Hayes. She's happy and healthy and I hear a fabulous baby! I can't wait to meet her in a couple of weeks. Here are a few pictures they have sent me...

The Giant Play Pen

Our front top porch is one of Lily's favorite places. She loves to watch the cars or people go by, point at the birds, play with the toys...she really enjoys it out there. And like Tami said, it's like a great big play pen!

If you ask her "Do you want to go outside?", she flaps her arms excitedly and heads for the door! I can tell she's really starting to understand things now, like simple directions or commands. She knows: outside, upstairs, Let's Go!, put this in the garbage, up, down, go get daddy, give it to mommy...stuff like that.

This shot looks so funny to me...like she's saying: OK, mom, I'll stand here and be good. Notice her Monkey...always held by the tail. She rubs the tip of the tail on her face and hands when she's tired. Some of you know that I do a similar thing with corners...can that be hereditary?!?

Auntie Jen

My friend Jen was in town to help her mom and to find a wedding dress (Wedding date still not set....). Anyway, Lily and I went and hung out at Jen's mom house for the day and had a great time! Jen has two nieces so her mom has some fun toys, a high chair, a port-a-crib...all the baby essentials. Just like being at our mom's house. It's great and makes for a much easier day!

Cute little jumper Jen got her for her b-day!

"Up Mommy!"

Why is it?

Why is it I love taking pictures of Lily looking goofy or silly? Parents are so cruel. Here are just some silly shots of my little one year old being a goofball as usual...

My fuzzy socks...better known as baby leg warmers

Shoes over PJ's...whatever works

4th of July

I got a couple of pictures from Britt from the 4th of July. Lily, my friend Autumn, and I went to Peachtree City to hang out with family and friends while Andrew worked ALL DAY! We didn't stay for fireworks because we had over an hour drive home, but we had a good time hanging out with everyone.

Showing off our patriotic colors and big, cheesy grins!!

1 year pictures

Here are some pictures that Britt took of my sweet girl last week. There are so many terrific ones, it's hard to choose just a few to post. She really captured her fun, cute personality. These are a few of my favorites!!
