Goofing Around

I call Lily my little "Punky Brewster". She has become quite creative with her outfits lately; wanting to mismatch shoes and socks, and layer everything. Dresses on top of pants, or skirts under dresses. I try to be flexible...but sometimes it's just too hideous and I have to say no. This one was cute....

Henry loves books and they are a great way to occupy him in the car!

Lily is always trying to do some sort of trick lately, and I caught Henry trying to imitate her. Ha ha. This is a total "Lily move."

The kids love airplane rides...

And Lily usually does some other kind of trick. Andrew calls her his circus performer!

The Masters Practice Round

Andrew, my dad and I got to go to the first day of practice rounds for the Masters Golf Tournament at Augusta National golf course. Andrew has put his name in the raffle for the tickets for the last three years, and he finally got them! My mom watched our kids, and we headed out on our two hour drive to the golf course. From the time we reached our exit off the interstate, to the time we finally parked the car was 2 more HOURS! But we kept reminding ourselves that it would all be worth it, and it was! What a fabulous day!

The 18th hole, where tournaments are won!

In front of Amen Corner, where three holes come together, and are all really tough!

St. Simons Silhouettes

Andrew took the kids down to Brunswick, per MeMe's request, to have their silhouettes drawn by a man that comes to St. Simons once a year. They drove down Friday evening (so kids would sleep on the way down) and came back Saturday evening, same scenario. They had a great time spending the day with MeMe and Poppa, and I had a nice, quiet 24 hours to myself! Win-Win!!

These boots were made for walkin'

We got these hand-me-down boots for Henry but they are way too big. Lily has actually been wearing them quite a bit, and since Henry is currently obsessed with everyone's shoes, he put these on the other day and was struttin' around...diaperless, by the way...it was hilarious.

Cherry Blossom Festivities!

During Cherry Blossom Festival, they have a carnival set up in a park within walking distance from our house. Andrew had an early afternoon on Tuesday, so we packed up and headed down for a couple of rides...

And ice cream cones...

The kids and I went back down Thursday morning for more rides...Henry was tall enough to ride a few of them with Lily. They had a blast!!

This was an obstacle course with a huge tunnel slide at the end. We found it as we were getting ready to leave, but I think it was actually her favorite one! Thank goodness for the unlimited ride pass!! She did this one 5 times!

Henry sat at the end of the slide and waited for his sister to come down.

Lily rode her first roller coaster too! She's in the second car behind the two girls in front.

What a fun day! They both passed out on the walk back home in the stroller, after cotton candy and a funnel cake!

Cherry Blossom Time!

March is "Cherry Blossom" time in Macon. This week is the Cherry Blossom Festival! Everyone puts pink on their cars, houses, water fountains are turned pink...the city goes crazy with PINK! So, of course, we have to WEAR pink too!!!!
My two attempts at getting them both to look cute; need to cut and paste, I guess. :)

Hard to get a straight face out of this girl these days! Such a goof ball!
